Why the Design District?
The need to hold a furniture fair in the region dedicated to design and originality has led us to proudly announce today a unique event for everyone who deals with the interior, whether they are architects, designers, manufacturers or merchants. The Design District is housed in beautiful Rovinj, in the premises of the old factory and sends the message that it is the strongest, largest and best in the region. Because of its numerous exhibitors, their diverse offers, accompanying events, guests and afterwork parties.
Through conferences and workshops, the DD provides the professional public with an answer to the issue of trends, the possibility of cooperation with a large number of exhibitors and information on concepts such as bio-architecture, hotels of the future, and eco furniture.
The DD alone in the region provides architects as well as interior designers with an opportunity to show their visitors both the projects they have completed and their planned projects and to approach potential customers through talks and meetings.
The DD is a business fair that enables all visitors to schedule b2b meetings with exhibitors whose products interest them.
The DD particularly addresses the owners of hotel facilities of all sizes, providing complete service, including interior design, manufacture and installation. Everything is found in one place, thus saving the time spent in looking for an adequate design, furniture, interior accessories.
At its afterwork parties, the DD brings together all those who did not manage to meet during the Fair, allowing the visitors and exhibitors to socialize in an informal context after the busy days of the Fair.

There are different views regarding what “design is”. This is one of the definitions:
We know that we use products, sit on them, look at them, talk about them, incorporate them, work with them or use them individually or en masse in a different way. When the point of contact between a person and a product is a point of conflict and difficulty, the designer has failed the test. On the other hand, if people use the product in a safer, more comfortable, more efficient, more satisfied or happier manner, the designer has succeeded.
“The Journalists’ Day at the Design District” is scheduled for Thursday, November 26, the opening day of the Fair. We would hereby like to invite you to enrich this special event with your presence, where media representatives choose the best design at the Design District among the nominated products. These products are awarded prizes: Design District 2020 – Best design, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
By participating in selecting the best design at the Design District, we are giving media representatives the opportunity to have their thoughts on trends, the ultimate achievements of the furniture industry and interior design appreciated. On the other hand, they will have the opportunity to meet a large number of excellent exhibitors, who each give their own contribution to projects in the form of high quality, modern furniture.
The Journalists’ Day was designed as a way to socialize with exhibitors, to rate the nominated products, all of which is complemented by a banquet and commemorative gifts that the exhibitors themselves will prepare for the journalists.
